These amazing pups allow players to achieve both vintage and modern sounds. PRS obtained exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in the most revered pickups in the '50s. PRS obtained the rights to the wire in 2008, and 1957 was the year the humbucker was first commercially available, giving rise to the 1957/2008 name. Also... this guitar has the special Nitro thin-skin finish, which allows the wood to breath and resonate much better than the usual poly finishes. So the combination of this Nitro finish with the amazing 1957/2008 pickups, sets the climate for ultimate tone! Just plug her in and your jaw will drop! Here's the lowdown on the features:

She was born just over 1 year ago, on February 23rd, 2009, and has been very well cared for! The guitar was purchased by a collector and has only been sparingly in a smoke-free home. As you can see in the pics, the finish has a gorgeous luster and really allows the maple flames to to radiate. Likewise, the hardware glows with no sign of tarnish or wear. There are no nicks or dings on the guitar. However, as with some of these nitro finish master-pieces, there are some speckled areas in the finish here and there. They are not visible unless you look under direct light at an angle. This is not a big deal at all, but I just wanted to mention it. Otherwise, the neck is straight with no cracks or repairs... The frets are perfect with their entire life ahead of them, and the sound is just awesome! Also included is the original PRS hard shell case... and it even includes all of the case candy, adjustment tools, case key and bird tag certificate! Whoever wins this sweet axe is is going to be completely STOKED!!
