You are looking at a 2008 Paul Reed Smith Modern Eagle II with a Faded Blue Jean finish on a crazy Modern Eagle maple top , solid "Black Rosewood" neck, the new outlined birds fret inlays and 2-toned gold/nickel hardware! If you're reading this ad, you are probably already familiar with the features of the (now discontinued) Modern Eagle I. We've all mourned the void of this great axe from PRS's production line... but now we can all stop the madness... The Modern Eagle II is here with fresh new features.... and believe me when I state; "YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!" This newer version comes with a high gloss nitro finish (instead of the old satin finish)... Even the new solid Black Rosewood neck has a gloss finsh! The birds are also new and improved with Paua outlined with Abalone borders and have a "Private Stock" look to them! Very cool indeed! These esthetic improvements are great, but the real treat is inside this beast; the new 1957/2008 ME II pickups! Folks... if you are looking for tone, please stop looking and check this out! The guitar is just the greatest thing your ears with ever hear!!! Paul recently purchased materials and rights to the ever revered, famous and sought after pickups of the 1950's (what's that company's name again?) and these pickups are the heart and soul of this mastpiece! Here is the lowdown on the features;

She was born only several weeks ago on September 17th, 2008 and has only been played for testing purposes (I did test it out for a few more minutes than most guitars... for obvious reasons!!) The guitar is in perfect, flawless, new condition with absolutely no issues to report! You couldn't find a cleaner guitar if you took it off the assembly line!... but just to be thorough... the neck is straight with no cracks or repairs... the frets are perfect with their entire life ahead of them... and the sound is out of this world!! Also included is the original Modern Eagle rectangular Brown Suede case (shown in the pictures) which is also brand new and even includes all of the case candy, adjustment tools and the bird tag certificate! WHOEVER wins this auction is going to be totally STOKED!!
