SOOOOO NICE!!
You are looking at a 2010 Gibson ES-137 Classic (made in Memphis Custom Shop) with a Blue Burst finish on a very nice maple flamed top, back and sides and Chrome hardware! If you aren't familiar with this model, I'm going to tell you about it... so don't worry :- ) This is the first Archtop model that Gibson used a solid Mahogany center block. If you've ever played a hollowbody electric before, and you tried to turn up the volume a bit... you probably experienced the joy of uncontrolable feedback. Well, this mahogany center block really does cut down on the feedback issue, and actually improves the sustain and resonance. This one has a great sound... and the action is nice and easy. She's 100% original... and 100% unmessed with!
Some of the features of this cool guitar include;
- Laminated curly maple body
- Maple neck
- Mahogany center block to reduce feedback and add sustain
- Multiple bound body on top, single bound on back
- Bound fingerboard
- Nut width: 1.6875"
- Scale: 24-3/4"
- Rosewood fingerboard
- Pearloid trapezoid inlay
- "C" inlay at the 12th fret
- Chrome Hardware
- 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way switch
- Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece
- 490R pickup in the rhythm position, 498T pickup in the treble position (same as on LP Studio or LP Custom)
- Body based on ES-135
- She Weighs 8.4 lbs.
- Serial # 11520xxx
She was born just a few weeks ago, in 2010, and has never been owned... and hasn't even been on display! With the exception of my testing it out before writing this ad, she is completely unplayed! Needless to say; there are no nicks, dings or scratches. The neck is straight with no cracks and repairs... the frets are perfect with their entire life ahead... and the sound is amazing! Also included is the Gibson Custom Shop hard shell case (shown in the pictures) and even includes the factory pre-pack check-list and the Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity! WHOEVER wins this auction is gonna be STOKED!!
